In 2025, this pet store acquired puppies from breeders Amos Borntreger (aka Happy Canine Kennel) and Samuel J. Yoder. Both breeders are on Humane World for Animals’ Horrible Hundred 2025 list, which is a list of many of the worst puppy mills and puppy sellers in the United States. Violations include a dead dog, nail heads sticking out into enclosures, fecal build-up, mouse feces on food, and lack of veterinary care.

This store also acquires puppies from broker Becky Busboom/Pixy Pals Kennel. Becky Busboom has a history of animal welfare violations and using medication for pigs on puppies. She also worked with notorious puppy mill owner Gary Felts, whose license has been revoked. See more info below:
